I just got off the phone with Doug at Nautic. He has built me a 105 gal. replacement tank for my B25. I basically read him capt. Patricks response to Tony's question. He chuckled a little and then proceeded to give me a 10 minute sermon on some of the 700gal tanks he has had in service with the coast guard in there go fast boats for years, and the beating they take. Also the fact that these tanks are foamed in and not bolted to your hull, the stress is simply not there, like say a stainless or aluminum tower would be! I say again, if you have any questions about the quality of stainless as an affordable answer to this fuel tank problem, call this guy, he will set your mind at ease. Another thing he noted was the coast guard seal of approval on the top of his home page, that speaks volumes he said. Capt. Patrick he also appreciated the link to his site and the vote of confidence, which I have to give also!
Just for the record my tank; 105gal. $825.00 ship to Wisconsin $90.00
Or you can wait for $3500 model from Bertram
I am all done with this BS! I got piece of mind now.
Best of luck to all,
Mark
