UV, Kudos on a civil response.
Having been away from I/O's a few years then becoming steward of a 1965 20 Moppie, I've been reminded why I don't like them.
To me these new drives offer too many complications and costs for the propouted benefits. Then again I'm not dropping $500k + on a brand new boat either. (If I was I'd buy a new Bert 36 & make them change the windows ;)
These new technologies will have their place, real or created by marketing. Support and reliability will be the judge in the real world.
I for one am more intested in the advances in diesel and gas engine efficency and reliability from these manufacturers. What we really need are motors which will last as long as our hulls will. Just my .01 (I don't have .02 to spare).
