Boat Lift

A question for the faithfull, what size boat lift do I need,I have a b31 fbc, with twin merc 7.4's 454's and 231 in fuel. will I need a 12,000 0r 16,000 lbs lift. the price difference is 3k. thanks in advance...Russ
