Don't worry about it . It just makes the hams happier and SSB on boats works better. Affects the higher frequencies mostly and that's where some problems may arrise but with digital technology the way it is the probelms will be minimized through cryptography. People just need something to blow out of proportion and get a rush out injecting fear in the populous.We as boaters should be looking foward to greater ranges and better conditions on SSB and don't be surprised if you here boats on VHF CH 16 500 miles away from time to time during the peak. So it can be a very good thing too. Dave K
