UV,
The pavillion as i remember it was constructed of PT lumber about 22 x14 with a big stainless steel sink on the right hand side for cleaning fish......Doc's most likely place to be found....
It had a slant roof that was insulated to keep the radiation from the beating, louisana sun from annoying it's occupants. In the center was a large ceiling fan to a modicum of comfort when there was no wind. Two Large picnic tables, end to end occupied the deck area, with lots of room for coolers around the perimeter providing more seating. There was a countertop off to the side of the sink area that provided the perfect place to whip up a batch of "chumslick" martinis with anchovie stuffed olives.
With martini in hand and a good cigar, we were the n captivated by Andre's tales of the houseboat journey with mooney, migratory states, UV fishin and storm stories..........etc.
I can see that pavillion clearly in my minds eye, and smell the boudin darrell would bring out at 10:30 am because we would be liqoured up cause the weather wasn't conducive to fishin....
Goddamn, I can't believe it is gone!!
Regards,
capy
