These big, low RPM engines are used for marine, but from what I can find, really big marine boats. Like a 35 Meter sailboat swinging a 1 meter prop.

I'm going to bet the low RPM's are going to dictate too big of a prop to swing beneath a 31. Unless something fancy was done with the tranny's gear ratio's.

I'm a sterndrive gas guy so I shouldn't even be commenting. I'd stay with the 6BTA's or Yanmars. Tried and true.
