Compact Generator

What would the faithful recommend for a small basic generator for the B31? We have the Yanmar 315s so space is tight. No AC, microwave or other appliances but we want to be sure that overnight trips will not be a problem. Will battery power work for a basic overnight electroncs and lighting set up or is a generator necessary/advisable? We will be going with Optima batteries. Has anyone used some of the smaller Honda generators as this might be a cheaper alternative.
