OLN (Outdoor Life Network) had a great piece on TV yesterday on Black Marlin fishing out of Tropic Star Resort in Panama. Guy Harvey was on one of the Bertram 31s when they caught and tagged an estimated 1200 lb. marlin. Believe it or not, they hooked him on a 50 lb. rig, then had a diver/photographer swim down to the mono leader and snap a swivel connected to an 80 lb. reel. The two anglers (winchmen) then cranked the fish up to the boat so they could tag him with a satelite tracking device and release him. Great action, great photography of the Bertrams, and great shots of the lodge with all the 31s at the dock. You guys are going to have a GREAT time at the UVI!!
