The Merc efi and Volvo recirculate the fuel at the engine in a closed system, not back to the tank.

Crusader and marine power return the fuel to the tank. The problem has to do with flow rates and fuel density which are different than diesel plus the cost of development vs the profit margin.

The efi systems already have fuel burn data built in the computer. It is very easy to calculate. They know the cc's of the injector and just count the pulses depending on rpm to give the fuel burn.

There are already some makers of instruments that will display that data. Are they as cheap as a flow scan? No.

I have asked Chuck the owner, about making just a display unit but it never seems to go anywhere.
They are a very small company where most everything is outsourced for manufacture.
