shaft length and mufflers

does anybody know what shaft length i will need for arepower with the cummins motors ihave found some and need to make sure that i can cut to length also ihave some mufflers thatare34 inches longand take 4inch hose could i put new ends on thes and make them work with the 300 cummins thank you john please forgive my typing iam new at this
