Dave:

At the risk of being bitchslapped by our overwhelming majority of Yanmar owners, I'll stick with good old fashioned cast iron over aluminum any day of the week. Even if it is green cast iron and requires someone named Knute to fix it.

That being said -- if anyone wants to put a new pair of 315 Yanmars in my boat, I won't turn them down!
