That recipe is sort of a dirty little secret vs. doing it the old fashioned way. Weather is pure crap here, raining cats & dogs and we are about to go downtown for the big BR Mardi Gras parade with the kids & grandkids. Good news I'm a member of our City Club and the parade passes right in front, so we can stay dry by the bar & buffet. The parade is the Spanish Town parade, sort of a spoof on the serious N.O. parades, and off color to say the least. pokes fun at the crooked politicians. The Krewe's mascot is the pink flamingo, so you get the drift. I hear the theme this years is "more levees, more chocolate, and more dykes". Outta be fun.
