All above points appreciated. I always know I can rely on you guys to speak your minds. Yeah I know the boat wasn't built to go that fast and would likely chine walk etc. Also low speed docking etc is a concern. I just wanted to confirm or disconfirm the nose being pushed under "myth" and whether it is fact or fiction. Some say its true some say not. I still don't know! Have there been documented cases of overpowered boats tending to push their noses under without pockets or is it all just speculation? Certainly the prop pockets seem like a big mistake from what I've heard yet everyone says to install them for high hp? I think the most irritating thing about being over powered for me will be the low end wake. JK how's your slowest speed with the 300's?
I don't want to install trolling valves etc.
My thinking is that even if you have all the power of 370's you don't have to use it. I just like to have it there if there's another ego that pulls up alongside in a Tiara or Lurhs (on a calm day of course). I know you guys don't like this sort of drag race mentality but the male ego is a bit of a beast.
I still haven't made up my mind but at least some worthwhile bulletin board dialogue was had.
