If rebooting won't work, there may be a problem with the program or the sector on the hard drive where the program is loaded, reloading it from the windows disc may erase any mail folders and addresses you have.

Try a disc defrag and cleanup.

Also try running a virus scan to see if you got something in one of your emails.

Most all internet providers give you mail service, outlook only downloads mail from your service provider. You can go directly to your provider and check mail on their server. This also prevents the chance of any viruses being downloaded on your computer.

All else fails, a 12 gauge to the case works well to relieve stress caused by computer pucker.
