Ain't it amazing the underground economy? A client and good friend at the same time owns a nice tackle shop here in Connecticut. He has people come in all the time that either mail ordered or discount store bought fishing tackle -- then they go to his store, with the reel and line and ask him to put the line on the reel for free, and where the fish are biting.
Part of dealing with a reputable repower specialist is the AFTER installation follow-up. I'll never understand why people will go dirt cheap on a major item, and then expect a dealer to stand behind some black market guys work.
I have potential clients ask me how much off they will get if they pay cash, or what will they get for a discount -- I tell them I am not in business for that -- if they want the cheap and dirty answer find someone else.
I agree with your position completely.
