Weekend tidbits, and new Raymarine toys

It has been a very mellow weekend up here in the NE. My brother and I ripped the decks out of Dad's whaler (25' Outrage) on saturday, and found that the aluminum tank is set in open cell foam. Yup, it is pretty wet. We are weighing the hassle of pulling it out or not, since it seems fine. On the other hand, it is 19 years old, and wet. Is there such a thing as closed cell foam we could use to re-install either the existing tank, or a new one? I just hate the idea of having it wet. On the other hand, it is in an isolated compartment so when it fails, if it fails (I figure it is an eventuality) the gas won't go anywhere quickly. We shall see...
Yesterday we headed to the coast to see the ocean for a while. I picked up two rods that were made over at JB tackle in niantic, and they are nice. I can't wait to have them bent over with a nice fish on the other end. The boat made it through the raging winds of Friday night fine, and that was a relief.
NE boat show will drag me to visit later this week. I am looking forward to seeing the new Raymarine E120 with Sirius weather function in person. I think it should be a pretty cool application, though I am not excited about the price of the module. $700 - 1000 for the box, plus subscription. Might wait a while for that, but I do expect that will be the system I choose for this summer when I get my courage up.
Immediate concern is here at home. Liz has come down with a nasty flu, and has been running a temp. of 103-101 all day and last night. I will be taking her to a dr. in an hour or so. I am concerned, though I am sure it will run it's course. Gonna go make sure.
Hope everyone had a good Presidents day weekend. It was nice to have downtime, and back to work tomorrow...
