Yes, they were a bit corroded in spots. I had them bead blasted before powder coating. You would need to have acid etching to clean them potentially anyway.

I thought seriously about new windows, but when I discovered the lead time, it was not an option. For the $$$ I could re-coat them often, and it just worked out better for me to do it this way this time. If you can make it happen, it might be worth it. That plastic stuff is important. Very important. Bertram Yachts might have some left. Otherwise it would be damned near impossible to do what I did.
