Awlgrip colors

Well I've decided that I'll take the diy approach to painting. I figure I'll start with the flybridge and work my way down. It won't be the best in the world but will protect the boat and cost 1/10 the prices I've been quoted. I'm going to go with a white boat, dark blue stripe with gold outline of the stripe.

So... with that being said I've got some questions.

What are the opinions on the shade of white to use?

Also, whether to use a different color for the non-skid areas?
