There are others here that'll have better insight on this, but for fishing short-handed I'd think about an auto-pilot with a remote, and for docking short-handed, put in a second set of controls--I don't think you'd need steering. The Bayboats have it 'cause they're all single-screw. Two months or so to opening day.
