Bill and Ernest,
Thanks for the feedback. I guess that means I could use my fairly new engine mounts with the trannies also. I just would have to get bell housings. There would be no logical reason to switch over to same rotation engines and purchase two new trannies then, right? Just freshen up existing 71c's(I think they are 10-17 series). Even though the counter rotating engine would be about 900 more, I don't think it would be cost prohibitive when using all the other parts I already paid for.

What about the cooling lines and tranny cooler? Bobtail engine would not come with all that stuff. right? Can what is on there now be used?

It seems like the more I learn, the more questions I come up with!

Ernest, what kind of glass work are you doing on the helm? If you have pics of your project I would like to see them. Are you installing diesel?

As for me, I would love to go that route. It is a goal but with my available funds of rougly 20k I guess it will have to wait.
