I did my cabin floor last year with 3/4" teak and holly ply (from what you paid, I got hosed). I used Cap. Pat's method, which is, as I remember, 1 coat west (clear) thinned 10% w/denatured alchohol, followed by a full strength coat, then let dry completely, sand, and do 2 full strength coats. I followed that wtih 6 coats Interlux
Goldspar satin. Looks good to me, and its been really durable.
