LH STE questions for B28

I have engine beds in stock configuration with gassers with 1.5 71c's. Can LH STE be installed without taking out beds and doing custom mounting brackets such as what I see on Bill Fuller's "Audax?" Can ZF 630 at 2.0 reduction be used on a Bertram 28 or would it be impossible to put a large enough prop under the boat? Looking at the inspiring pictures of "Audax" I think the answers are NO and NO. Not sure I want to reglass/relocate tubes and have nice beds removed. Still learning, Kevin
