Here is how the rear panel works: First you make a roux..... OK - the side panels have one track of a zipper on the aft vertical edge. There is an aluminum track screwed to the horz. rear pipe of the half tower (yep, used Tef Gel). The top of the rear panel slides into the track and both the port and stb. sides of the rear panel have the other half of the vertical zipper sewn to them. There is another vertical zipper in the rear panel about the width of the ladder that only goes up to the rear rail with a cutout for the forward support of the rear rail at the ladder. The bottom of the rear panel has a piece of 1/2" pvc pipe sewn in a pocket. To roll the rear panel up, just unzip the two sides, fold them over about a foot towards the center, and roll it up on the pvc pipe. There are two straps with twist fasteners that hold it up tight against the uderside of the half tower. When rolled up you don't even notice it's there. When rolled down there are two straps on the back with velcro that allow you to pull it tight against the rear rail and keep it from flapping. It's almost drum tight and near totally waterproof even in a downpour.
