Bob- Also talk to your prop guy about possibly lowering your blade pitch but cupping them so as to keep your slow end down but not losing speed on the higher end. I troll for Bass out at Montauk on one engine against the tide and catch fish. Do I wish I could go slower, sure, but I haven't heard anyone say anything about trolling valves except to avoid them.
