In Response To: gauges (phil)

I replaced all of my guages on my bridge with VDO vanguards 2 seasons ago on my 1972 28B. They look great. My original dash had Stewart Warner--Nothing wrong with them--great, reliable but they faded over time--Replaced them with Medallions---and those were great--for like the first year or 2--then some started going out etc---This time around---VDO--they are reliable and Vanguards were standard on many quality boats-I lucked out--found a whole dash from a salvage boat with twins--- hr meters, tach , oil, water, voltage and fuel . There was only 300hrs on the meter--paid $149 for all of it---_(New Tachs cost that much) If I were to buy new--look into the VDO tach that combines oil water and voltage. It will take up less space and look great./
Good Luck
