Here's how I did the Can Do It. Again my fiberglass 2 X 2 tubings was purchased from Mc Master Carr, quick and reasonable. They were glassed with epoxy using #18 biaxial to hull and screwed to each other at top. I used the Bertram cored replacement cockpit deck. I did not use a bulkhead behind engines, just joyce supports. Marine plywood coated with thinned epoxy then two regular coats with I like # 6 cloth or matt is a wise choice for a bulkhead. Now for a horizontal surface that's another matter and I would not use it for a horizontal surface. Just my choice from years of dealing with boats. Hope the photo helps.
