Ditto on fiberglass from McMaster Carr, I did all upright supports for decking with 1 x 4 Fiberglass C- Channel. Bolted up nicely, and I tabbed in place. On top I wanted to place fiberglass as well but opted for Mahogony as it was faster and easier to trim and fit if required, not to mention I had on hand.

Bulkhead I did from Marine-Ply. Tryed and tested, the last piece lasted almost 40 years.
