As per that site SS tanks are Coast Guard approved if done properly(they have to pass rigid testing criteria)SS tanks must only be done by competent personal with a proven track record such as the one recomended. Dr Jerry Santiago and myself have them in our 31's. And yes our tanks are larger than 50 gallons all SS. But still I coal tar epoxied mine per Patrick. Dave K
