I'm waiting. Everyone seems to have a theory but no defintive results are in. I haven't experienced any motor problems yet and if the tanks are melting I would think all our tanks are melting at the same rate.

My plan is to run the tank until problems arise, then rebuild the motors, rip out the tank and put a plastic 50 gal tank in it's place. At that point my mighty Bertram will be the best bay boat ever built. I will then beg rides with anyone rich enough to afford the gas to break the inlet.
If the results from all these tests prove that we indeed have a problem, I'll have 80 gallons of gas I could let you have cheap.
