I recommend using 3M's 5200 for everything below the waterline. That's what most of the guys on this board will tell you. That's what I used and I've had no problems whatsoever. It's tough to remove once it sets but it's also the best. When using it, initially leave a little room to tighten after the initial setup, 24- 72 hours. Seems to form a nice seal that way and doesn't squeeze all the material out during the initial install.
