AJ update

Spoke to the yard today, and she is on the mend. Both struts were cracked in the barrel where the cutless goes, being replaced with new from High Tide. On the stb. side where she came down on the concrete floor, there is a crack in the hull from bow to stern about a foot, and a transverse crack about 6", both radiating from the strut. Repair of cracks underway. Both props have been repaired and computer balanced, $350, a bargain. The shafts are being trued up. One shaft coupling was cracked, replacing both with the better split style. The new genset (6.5 KW Phasor 3 cyl.) is on hand and will be installed shortly. They are rebuilding the venturi f.b. windshield. New autopilot head and SSB antenna on hand. Welder scheduled to repair the extensive damage to the Pipewelders half tower. Progress, see light at end of tunnel, and no, Prof, it ain't the headlight of a train.

Think we have some more for the UVI 6 at TSL. Ran into an old fishing buddy at lunch today who has the "Mary P", a 92' custom Queenship SF he & his wife have been fishing on in Aussie Land for a couple of years, shipping it back to LA now. They tore up the black marlin, 2 near granders. He is tired of the 92 and is having Trinity Yachts build him a 120 foot SF with giant Cats. 24 month build time. Anyway, he wants to join us for UVI 6 and I got him the last boat and the Palace up the hill. He's firming up with TSL this afternoon. His airline reservations be's his cell phone, has a jet plane. Made his the old fashioned way. You guys will love him, salt of the earth. They had the Mary P anchored up in Pinas Bay at TSL for 3 months a few years ago. He says even the Prof can catch a billfish there.
