Bruce,
I was told by a few that when idling for an extended period, like fighting a 1000 lb marlin or waiting for a bridge, that you should kick up the idle to at least 750 on Cummins. I have the idle down to 500 as I go 5 knots then and put up too much wake for close canals. They say it keeps fuel from dumping into oil and diluting it?
Further, my port TD clunks when putting in gear and I assume the previous posts go for TD's too?
