Yes, yes, yes..... Thanks for inputs. Putting fears to rest.

I was getting the "chattering" at low RPM's (idling at the dock). It really bothered me and I read that this was caused by low RPMs (~500), so a couple of months ago I turned up the idle speed to ~700. The "chattering" went away, but now the "clunk" in reverse. I turned the idle speed back to ~600, but these are original tachs so who knows. I'll turn idle down a bit more, but much more and I'm afraid I'll stall. I'll keep an eye out on the fluid, but it all looks nice and red... no burning.
