Beefed Up Roof For Flybridge?

Anyone know whether 31s with flying bridges (SF, etc) were built with some sort of beefier roof supports than those in the Sedan models (no FB)?
Plan to graft Stan Smith's (Wet Spot) old FB onto the roof of my '72 Sedan model in February. The roof seems a bit flimsy in the first place -- without any additional weight. Fair amount of stress cracks. The load must be transmitted via the front window frames and the diagonals (just aft of the cabin bulkhead)? Just a preliminary look, but I didn't see evidence of any substantial columns, metal, etc.
One clue should be what Stan finds when the cabin roof comes off and whether or not that appears different than the sedan components...
Not interested in building a house of cards, so all info and suggestions appreciated! (A year ago, Capt Pat advised Alex Moore that doing this would not be for the faint of heart -- we shall see!)
Thanks!!
