Curtains

I would like to replace the 20 year old curtains in my B28.
They are secured by H shaped plastic tabs, top and bottom, that slide along a C shaped track.
(I'm guessing most of you guys know what I'm talking about)
My daughter is a decent seamstress and could make the curtains but I'm unsure about how to secure them.
Removing and re-using the plastic tabs is not especially desirable (difficult to sew into the new curtains).
I'm assuming that polyester fabrics would probably work best for the new curtains.
Alternately, are there any go-to sources for these curtains?
