If your talking the old Detroit blower box shut down, then the answer is no.
No current engines have that feature built in.
One reason is severe damage to the engine can occur when this is used.Second, 2 cycle engine construction is no more.
Fireboy systems that are installed with the auto shutdown react when the bottle goes off and the pressure switch connects so the engine doesn't send the fire retardant out the exahust.
Next is the overheat and low oil pressure.
Most all the generators have this auto shut down feature when either is encountered. No current propulsion engine that I'm aware of have this feature from the factory. They have an alarm circuit built in, but not auto shut down.
Boat makers and owners sometimes add this to propulsion engines.
But in the case of the low oil shut down on the Detroits that some boats installed, it created some harrowing situations that I'm sure somewhere lead to loss of life or severe injury. Our own Capt. Pat has experienced this first hand and survived many moons ago in Port Adventuras Mx.
Auto shut down in my opinion on propulsion engines is not a good idea.
The capt should be paying attention at all times to engine function and be able to shut down if a problem occurs when its safe to do so.
