Tax man got me!

I heard this happens and was just waiting for it to me my time...

I got an invoice for property tax in the county where my boat is dry docked. My Marina was nice enough to give them all of my information so I was sure to get the bill. Not too bad, only 157.00 for the old 26. Here's the catch. I did not move my boat to the marina until late February. Since the county that I reside does not pro-rate, I have to pay the full year for where it was on January 1. The Marina county does not pro-rate either but finally gave in and said since I paid for '05 already, they will start with me in '06. I won't see that bill until December.

I wish my marina was not so cooporative with them, but it really does not make a difference. I have to pay the taxes some where.
