28 to 30k is not such a great deal to take a chance on service and parts.
Its okay if you never travel outside the local suppliers area and the people who put them in.

But travel and break down in another area and try and find someone to work on them. Good luck.

The owner of the GM 6.2L I just repaired some weeks ago called every marine place from Lauderdale to Melbourne to find someone to work on it. It wasn't a matter of time, it was just plain no. And they are very common and parts are readily available.
He found me thru Russ since I don't have my number listed with information or in the phone book.
I about said no but am a sucker for a down and out boater.

There have been many who have tried to invade the market, John Deere, Sabre, GM but none have made a dent or lasted.

That's because its like having a woman with a third tit on her back. Its a novelty and comes in handy while slow dancing, but in the end she's just another freak in the show.
