As far as location goes, The Montauk, Block island, Newport circle (in my opinion) will get the most attendance from the Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts Faithful. Of those locations, only Montauk and Newport has proven it can handle a large group with slips, power & water for everyone.
If it is decided to have the NE Rendezvous further up North as some are opting for, then it is possible the Long Island and southern Connecticut boats might opt to attend the Atlantic City Rendezvous instead as a matter of distance and facilities, for a weekend round trip.
Once the location issue is clarified, a "leader" may emerge as geography would play an important role in deciding one's ability to do a proper job in organizing a successful event.
I guess the time has come for The Faithful to speak up as individuals on where they'd like the Northeast Rendezvous to be this year.
My vote is for Montauk or Newport. Speak up guys! Walter
