Auto pilot questions

We're installing a Simrad AP25 and have a couple a question. Where have others put there compasses and computers? Our previous compass was in the hole on the side beneath the galley table. There just seems to be too much metal and elctronics close by. We're thinking of putting the computer above the galley headliner where it appears to stay dry. Appreciate all unput.
