Several stewards have had lots of parts rechromed. I have had cleats, hawse pipes, etc, and the hand rail ends from my 79 B31 done with great results and at about half the cost of new parts. Keep in mind the fact that new replacement parts may not have perfect mounting hardware hole alignment with the old. That can mean filling and re-drilling to mount the new stuff (that's the voice of experience talking!).
