Sean,
I've been watching the '79 B28 that was for sale at the Melb Harbor. I found it on an internet search. This weekend, it was gone and I was wondering if it sold.

I don't know of any 31's in our area. There was one back in the late '80's owned by Frank Fain called "HOBO". But last I heard, Frank had retired to Alaska! Any faithful ever heard of a 31 from Central FL called the "HOBO"?

There's a 26' moppie on the racks at Anchorage Marina. Looks like it's been road hard.

There's a 51 or 57 foot new Bertram that was tied up at the EGYC most of the summer and fall. I haven't seen it in a couple of months though.

There's a B28 down in Sebastian and a B28 called the "Gettn' There II" at Port Canaveral. Both are charter boats.

There's a 33 that hails out of Palm Bay, but it's kept in Ft. Pierce. It's called the "Right Stuff" and is also a charter boat.

I know of the 35 and your 33 at the Melbourne Harbor. I was there on New Years eve. I tied up next to the new Bertram 63' from Myrtle Beach that was there this weekend. Wow what a boat!

As for fishing, I try to get out once a month. Hard to do with kids involved in so much stuff. I fish out of Sebastian Inlet as it is quicker for me to get to/from. If you try to go out of Port Canaveral, you have 2 choices... run up the Bananna River or up the ICW. The ICW requires you to make the 2 mile barge canal at idle speed. This takes about 30-40 minutes. The Bananna River is dicey north of the Pineda Causway. It shallows up to less than 4 feet without any channel markers when you're west of PAFB. I've done it, but only at idle speed ready to shut down if the depth alarm goes off at 3'. In either case, you have to negotiate the lock at Port Canaveral and then it's another 3/4 mile of idle speed through the port.

Feel free to email me at johannessen@spacey.net.
