Peter,

I'm beginning to suspect that someone has worked on my wiring at some point. What I have is a reddish orange hotwire coming into the forward bilge pump toggle switch. The white/purple/black wire comes off the toggle switch on either the "manual" or "auto" side with the white/purple wire coming off the opposite side (again, either "manual" or "auto". I just can't remember right now). However, both of those wires go down into the bilge area to a terminal strip that is mounted on the forward bulkhead (see picture below). The white (negative/ground) wire you mentioned is at that terminal.

Where should the original cartridge fuses be located and what did they look like?
