I've got lots of factory spade terminal connections on my 1987 B33 too, and never thought twice about them until now. I think all the spade terminals are on terminal blocks.

Is it really that big a deal? Connection should be fine unless the screw comes loose. If screws came loose with a closed terminal it would just buy time and short until the screw completely rattled off.

I keep all those terminal block screws painted with thick enamel or liquid electrical tape anyway, which seem to keep them from coming loose, but would like to know what all the fuss is about spade terminals.
