Make sure you buy marine grade wire that is pre-tinned. I'm sure there are several USCG approved manufacturers, I normally try to buy Anchor marine wire and cable. I'm not sure if Anchor is a reseller or manufacturer?

I checked the two large industrial grade electircal supply houses for marine grade conductors, both brought up brand "Dearborn" when I specified marine grade.

they will have better pricing than the marine resellers.
