A pentecoastal preacher on speed? I don't think there is anything that will quiet that down LOL!
I have put 1/4" teak/holly flooring in several boats including my 50. I applied it right over the existing plywood floor. I don't know what you would use to underlay & deaden the sound because the t/holly needs to be glued down. I guess you could glue down some rigid foam insulation and then glue the t/holly down to it.
Let us know what you come up with.
