Hydraulic steering.
No idea what kinda plywood it is. Mine was not rotten after 33 years. Did have some rot in the center of the sammi where the engine mounts were lagged in. No big deal. Hog it out, fill with some epoxy/glass, and re-drill.
Panels - Think the best way I have seen/heard - from Cpt. Pat of this very site - is thin PVC foam board, contact cement some cheap formica to the front, scuff, and then paint. Treat the edges with a little filler or melt them smooth with solvent (acetone?).
Da Judge did his with PVC foam board, no mica, and then paint, and they look simply stunning. Then again, he runs a B25 that could probably be sold as a new boat. Too pretty actually to fish. Better suited for cruising with thong clad babes and blender drinks.
