To say organized labor has outgrown its usefulness is nieve. With no checks and balances, every CEO of every publicly traded company would make 7 figures while the WORK FORCE would be at minimum wage. The I.B.E.W. provided me 4 years of training and (so far) a lifetime of fair representation. I don't mean to defend all labor groups, and I don't think they are always right, but in todays world of corporate greed and scandle, you had better hope the UNIONS hang around a while. Remember, a union is only the WORK FORCE collectively bargining for benefits and rights, not some evil force strong arming America. I have seen union groups do embarassing things I'm not proud of, but overall and for the most part, organized labor is a good thing, and I am proud to be a part of it.
