VDO redo

Redoing the console this year and don't want to look at the square VDO gauges that came with the repower. Frankly they take up to much space on what is already a small canvas.
Has anyone changed out the big black squares for a standard round chrome bezel VDO?
Was the wiring the same?
Which models did you use?
The boat has 03 Cummins Mechanical 330's so I'd like to keep the same senders (they all work)
