Looking to repower my B28. I have chryslers that I can not keep running despite all new heads, carbs, and exhaust. Keep bending/breaking valves. I can get 230 yanmars that have been under water for 8,000 per engine, tranny included. These engines have been serviced/rebuilt by the dealer. I have done the math and it comes to about 22,000 with alternators, mounts, racors, shafts, struts, props, panels, harness, etc. 90% percent of the labor will be done by me with exception of alignment and startup/sea trial. When compared with the price of brand new engines at about 38,000 plus all the running gear and such, it sounds pretty good. The whole deisels under water part is what I am not sure about. How do these engines hold up after being submerged and serviced/rebuilt by the dealer? Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kevin
